Contemporary Menu, Classic View
San Francisco Restaurant Guide
Paradise Beach Grille
Breezy yet sophisticated, this waterfront restaurant is great for special-occasion meals or upscale cocktailing. It gets all kinds of customers: regulars who relentlessly chat up the pretty bartenders, tourists with cameras clicking and South Bay corporate types who have managed to escape the office for the afternoon. When the weather’s nice, everyone wants to sit outside, but the dining room, with its flagstone floors and full-length windows, is just as pleasant.
The menu offers contemporary seafood, steak and pasta dishes. Surf-and-turf specials are available on select night. The view of the ocean from the patio is what you’ll remember, especially if you get a chance to catch one of the glorious sunsets. Sip a specialty cocktail and watch the sun sink below the water ever so slowly. Now that’s happy hour. – Lena Katz
