About Paradise Beach Grille
On January 2nd, 1998, we purchased the building at 215 Esplanade. After 5 months of extensive renovations we opened our restaurant, Paradise Beach Grille, in late May of the same year on Memorial Day. Five years later in 2003, Robert and Carol Coe joined the Paradise Beach Grille family as investment partners. Still going strong, last May marked our 11th year anniversary.
From day one, we have not wavered from our original concept of providing quality service and food in a fun environment for our customers, employees and owners. Paradise has become a popular meeting place for local patrons as well as a favorite restaurant for tourist including many regular patrons from over the hill in the Bay Area. We have been voted the Best Restaurant in Santa Cruz County for the last three years.
Paradise maximizes the beautiful beach location on Monterey Bay with an outdoor patio with views of the historic Venetian condominiums and the ocean. This combination is reminiscent of a Portofino environment in Italy. We also feature an outdoor fireplace perfect for that cozy dinner or wine tasting. We have high top tables in the bar area for drinks or dining as well as an attractive and spacious dining room. Customers enjoy the various casual venues yet an upscale flair with quality food, beverage and service.
The owners have created a family environment for both our customers and employees. Our current Executive Chef and General Manager was our original chef and creator of our ever evolving menu. Many of our employees have been with us for several years.
Our menu features a wide variety of attractive salads and appetizers, fresh local and Hawaiian seafood and aged Creekstone steaks. Paradise features an extensive wine list of California wines including over 10 local wineries and over 20 wines by the glass. We provide weekly specials and a bar menu with special Happy Hour pricing.

Meet Executive Chef Stephen Hanecak
Paradise Beach Grille is very excited to have Stephen Hanecak back and to reintroduce him as "General Manager/Executive Chef." Hanecak has been traveling and expanding his culinary expertise over the last five years and has returned home to bring Paradise back to its roots and create new and innovative "Island Style" dishes.
Hanecak is infiltrating Tropical Fusion techniques with California Cuisine to embellish the existing style that originates at Paradise Beach Grille. He wis tapping into the agricultural haven that surrounds "Capitola by the Sea" by flavoring his creations with regional fruits and vegetables.
For beef, Stephen orders exclusively from Creekstone Farms from Kansas. The Creekstone Farms legacy began over a decade ago with one simple idea: provide superior beef products to satisfy the most discerning of palates.

Continuing Stephen's commitment to wholesome sustainable ingredients, Paradise Beach Grille purchases their specialty fish from the Honolulu Fish Company. Founded by Samiere, a marine biologist, Honolulu Fish Company is dedicated to sustainable harvest and protection of Hawaii's fisheries.
